Spill the tea.

Jacob is a Nashville native who has a passion for all things creative. His spare time is spent being dog dad to Alaska and Sasha as well as figuring out which home reno project to do next with his husband, Chris.

Since graduating with a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology from Lipscomb University in 2014, Jacob has worked with multiple theatre companies across the city of Nashville, Tennessee as Set Designer, Scenic Charge, Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager, and Director.

In 2016, Jacob made the move to Boston, MA where he served as the Assistant Technical Director for the theatre program at Beaver Country Day School, a private school in Chestnut Hill, MA. During that year, he also had the pleasure of working at Greater Boston Stage Company just north of Boston as the Properties Manager for three of their mainstage productions and Production Manager for their educational theatre winter festival.

His favorite theatre experience yearly is the Bell Witch Fall Festival in Adams, Tennessee where he has had the honor of directing Spirit: The Authentic History of the Bell Witch of Tennessee in 2017 and Smoke: a Ballad of the Night Riders in 2018 and 2019.

When he’s not doing theatre, Jacob also dabbles in visual arts - graphic design, chalkboards, watercolors, and just plain ol’ doodling.

Most recently, he and his creative partner, Wesley, finished writing their first musical, Ten Year, a queer slice-of-life story that isn't centered around the topic of coming out but rather one that normalizes seeing a queer character on stage facing challenges and emotions just like everyone else.
